Job Description
The Manufacturing Department at Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is offering a fantastic opportunity. The Water Treatment Technician post is based in Mbeya, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced candidate with a strong background in water treatment. The winning applicant will have direct reporting lines to the team leaders of the packaging department.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- We tested and analysed all parameters according to the rules set down by the TCCC.
- Make necessary changes to the process parameters based on the analysis results.
- Perform audits, adhere to protocols, and meet KORE standards for training, documentation, and instrumentation control and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair are all part of maintaining WT laboratory equipment.
- Make sure that the Water Treatment Plant’s preventative maintenance and calibration are finished on time and according to plan.
- Manage proficiency testing programs and ensure continual improvement in collaboration with external laboratories and suppliers (Mayo County Council and Irish Water).
- Maintain cleanliness in the process areas while following GMP protocols.
- Complete inspections in accordance with the CIP Matrix.
- Follow the regulations for safety and housekeeping.
- Watch over environmental, health, and safety protocols to make sure they’re being followed.
- Responds appropriately to analysis results, explicit demands, or out-of-control triggers to solve problems.
- Makes sure the right methods for fixing problems are employed, creates a strategy to address the issue, and keeps track of any gaps on a gap list.
- If necessary, seeks out specialised resources to aid in problem solutions.
- Make sure the issue has been resolved and that the necessary steps to fix it have been taken.
- Verifies that the relevant work instructions and manuals have been revised to avoid the issue from happening again.
- Coordinates problem-solving efforts by communicating with the relevant parties, including production management, the SHEQ manager, laboratory technicians, and the operations team.
- Uses valid and acceptable methods, such as 5WHY, to guide group sessions in solving problems.
- Make sure that a strategy is created to fix the issue, roles are defined, and any gaps are documented on a gap list.

Skills, Experience & Education
- The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, mathematics, biology, chemistry, or a closely connected discipline and a diploma in water treatment laboratory technology. Skill in operating laboratory equipment and handling samples; two years of relevant job experience required; ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) setting.
