Plan International advances children’s rights and equality for girls in more than 75 countries

The Organisation

An independent humanitarian and development group, Plan International fights for females’ equality and children’s rights. We are aware that poverty, violence, isolation, and prejudice frequently stifle the strength and potential of every kid, but we also believe in this. The people who are most impacted are the girls.

We aim for a fair world by addressing the causes of the problems that girls and other vulnerable children confront in collaboration with youth, supporters, and partners. From the moment they are born until they become adults, we stand behind the rights of children and help them be ready for and resilient in the face of challenges. Through our extensive network, extensive expertise, and extensive knowledge, we influence policy and practice on a local, national, and international scale.

We have inspired other dogged optimists to improve the life of every child in over 80 countries for over 85 years.

We shall not rest until we achieve parity.

ROLE PURPOSE

The intervention specialist’s job is to help get program interventions implemented in all three of the zones that make up their assigned area. In addition to assisting with school development, each intervention specialist will have a specialty; for example, this position’s focus on gender and girls’ education means that they will offer extra support in that area throughout their zone.

DIMENSION OF THE ROLE

Regions and LGAs are receiving assistance from Shule Bora in order to execute initiatives. More technical assistance at the regional level to collaborate closely with government counterparts is necessary for the program to develop, execute, and monitor the interventions as intended.

In order to accomplish the program’s outputs and results, the intervention specialist will assist in implementing program activities across the three regions assigned to them via zonal assignment. As said earlier, this individual will offer assistance during all interventions in their region. Additionally, they will focus on giving specific support to their zone in relation to either disability inclusion, girl education and gender, safety and safeguarding, or both.

The intervention specialist’s primary responsibility is to guarantee the smooth execution of all regional interventions in close collaboration with the programme regional coordinator. Technical leads and other stakeholders from the region and district will need to work closely together on this.

As part of EPforR II, the intervention specialist will help regional and district governments with intervention planning, implementation, and monitoring in order to reach disbursement-linked outcomes.

At its core, Plan International is an organisation that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equality.

We want Plan International to be inclusive and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their age, handicap, gender identity or expression, marital status, sexual orientation, race, religion, or belief system.

At Plan International, we value diversity and inclusion in all its forms, and we work hard to foster an inclusive workplace where all employees feel welcome and valued.

We work to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported in our pursuit of racial equity, gender parity, girls’ rights, and inclusiveness.

With so many potential dangers to children around the world, Plan International considers it its moral obligation to take all necessary measures to protect children. Therefore, we have a special obligation to take care of any children we come into touch with and ensure that they are safe from harm.

In line with Plan International’s policy on safeguarding children and youth, a battery of pre-employment checks will be conducted. The Inter-Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme is another program in which Plan International takes part. In accordance with this plan, we shall inquire with the applicant’s former employers on any allegations of sexual misconduct, abuse, or harassment that were discovered while the applicant was employed, or that were under investigation at the time the applicant departed from their position. The applicant for the position signifies their comprehension of these recruiting processes by delivering an application.

Nobody from Plan International will ever contact you via unsolicited email demanding payment.
