Role Context

To lead, manage, and build the express company in Tanzania in a way that generates profit, strengthens our position in the market, and earns us the reputation as a provider of first-rate service. Providing excellent service while maintaining high standards of respect.

Important Duties

Facilitate and oversee the attainment of service performance that surpasses client expectations and sets DHL apart from rivals.
Engage in appropriate-level communication with critical and strategically significant clients to foster client retention, growth, and the creation of new business.
Assist in the expansion and development of DHL by cultivating and sustaining a positive reputation with its numerous key audiences, including customers, business partners, industry groups, trade associations, unions, and government and regulatory agencies.
Make sure that the yearly projections for revenue, cash flow, profit, and service levels are all satisfied, and if they aren’t, figure out why and fix it.
As part of a larger regional and worldwide strategy, establish local tactical plans that are in line with the market approach and regional and global strategy.
Take the lead to ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives.
Make an impact on regional planning by including local environmental considerations in policy and strategy formulation.
Develop in a way that increases revenue yield and market share.
Stay ahead of the competition by closely monitoring the market.
Improve efficiency and the value of DHL’s services by regularly reviewing and enhancing business procedures.
Maintain the company’s financial stability in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and DHL management policies.
Maximise cash flow by effectively managing debt and capital.
Improve service and transit time performance while managing costs by planning and implementing corrective actions.

Oversee the provision of sufficient resources and the dedication of personnel to meet the goals and targets set for the country, the regional cluster, and the world at large.
Essential Criteria

Background and work history

Academic credentials and applicable work experience in the commercial and corporate world.
Have extensive experience at the executive or general management level in the transportation, logistics, or aviation sectors, or in allied service-oriented organisations.
Solid expertise operating a fully working, profit-and-loss firm of a comparable size, as well as a thorough familiarity with all business functions.
Proficiency in business and familiarity with the external economic climate, including how it might influence DHL’s both immediate and distant future plans.
Outstanding leader and motivator who exemplifies the qualities expected of a DHL leader.
Proficiency in both English and French is required.
