Job Purpose:

We are looking for somebody to take on the role of branch Managers and make sure all of our branches are running well. Ensuring operational efficiency while driving growth, profitability, and customer happiness is the perfect candidate’s job description.

Important Functions:

Make sure the branch is profitable by developing its budget and plan.
To achieve goals and go above and beyond for customers, you need to generate and drive sales opportunities.
Annual goals and sales campaigns should be coordinated between the branch and the retail officers.
Keep the branches coordinated by holding frequent meetings with the retail officers, branch employees, and training sessions.
Keep tabs on branch goals and analyse them to see how well you’re doing.
Strengthen the bond between your company and its retail clientele.
Maintaining and growing a customer base requires frequent in-person interactions with consumers.
Give small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to cash management solutions, working capital finance, and business loans that are designed specifically for their requirements.
Assist small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients in reaching their growth goals by offering experienced financial advice and support.
Locate and approach relevant federal, state, and regional government authorities to request banking services.
Establish and preserve solid rapport with government officials by learning their financial needs and providing them with appropriate banking solutions.
Maintain positive public relations and represent the bank in a positive light by communicating with locals and government authorities in the region of operation.
Adhere to all applicable rules, regulations, controls, and procedures, as well as those of the bank.
Determine the potential operational and environmental hazards associated with providing branch services, and take measures to lessen their impact and exposure. Maintain a tidy work environment by following the branch’s clean-desk policy.
Operational manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs) must be followed by all branch employees.
Maintain a sufficient supply of cash and stationery to cover daily operations. Put safeguards in place to protect money and any bank records or valuables.
Check all suspense and stamp accounts, regulated stationery, cash in tills and strong rooms, and the balances on a regular basis using a snap check.
Respond to all audit reports in a timely manner and put auditors’ suggestions into action.
Make sure all the necessary supplies, including equipment, are on hand.
Oversee the overall operation of the division.
Provide guidance to Head Office based on your assessment of the branch staff’s workforce and their development requirements.
With the Chief Manager of Branches’ input, devise and oversee personnel administration matters like training, staff rotation, and local leave.
Conduct regular reviews of employees.
Carry out any additional responsibilities given by the Chief Manager Branches or superiors.
Verify adherence to regulations on the prevention of money laundering:
Carry out quality Assurance on account openings and general KYC/CDD concerns, as well as customer verification and identification.
Maintain complete and accurate records of all transactions, account openings, and identifying information, and fulfil all client mandates.
Properly report any transactions that seem suspicious.
Educate branch employees on the need for preventing money laundering.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field from an accredited university, such as banking, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or Finance.
Must have worked as a banker or financial analyst for a minimum of eight (8) years, with a minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience in branch operations, SME, or credit management.
